About Cody

Cody Hamilton is an established figure in the Bay Area recording scene, with over a decade of experience as a recording engineer, music producer, and musician.

Cody began his music career playing guitar, keys, and bass in the Los Angeles based indie rock bands Honeydrip and Glow. After years in the studio as a recording artist, he transitioned to the other side of the glass as an engineer and producer. With a degree from San Francisco State University in Audio Engineering with a focus in music production, he became an engineer at Fantasy, where he worked with globally renowned artists and engineers, including Steve Miller, Journey, Graham Nash, Boz Scaggs, Kronos Quartet, Howard Johnston, Magik Magik Orchestra, Wes Maebe, and George Winston. After Fantasy closed in 2018, Cody became studio manager and lead engineer at Decibelle Recording in San Francisco. During his years as a recording engineer and producer, he led recording sessions for artists including Stephin Merrit (The Magnetic Fields), Matt Nathanson, Jeremy Cohen (Quartet San Francisco), The San Francisco Gay Men’s Choir, NPR, Pacific Mambo Orchestra, Taylor Eigsti and many others. He has also engineered voice over sessions for Slate Media, Netflix, Jim Capobianco (Pixar) and more. Beyond his work as a recording engineer and music producer, Cody continues to play bass in multiple Bay Area bands and often lends his multi-instrumental skills to the pop sessions he produces.
